So me and Shy at the Bag N Gag (it's Bag N Save but it's a South O thing to call it that LOL)up the street from the apartment and I see some Bread Machine mixes and grab a couple of them. We got a bread machine from Shy's mom as a pseudo-house warming gift and she also wanted to get it out of the house LOL I would have tried it out earlier but we didn't have the Food Stamps or the butter (trust me, I'll get to that LOL) to slather on the newly baked bread.
So about 9pm I decided to drag it out of the closet and put it on the dining room table but Shy decided to put it on the floor. Now me I wouldn't have because my father was HUGE on fire prevention (long story I won't go into here without his permission first) when we were younger but that's neither here nor there. Grabbed the mix and tried to go with the directions and went for it! What's cool about this bread maker is that it was a window in it to look in on it to see if it's doing well so you don't have to pull it open and see what's going on in there.
After about 2 hours I started getting the aromas of the rising bread and well...I got a little excited! LOL One of my favorite memories is baking cookies and watching my mom cook when I was a kid. So every time I'd get a whiff I was like mmmmmm! I can't wait! So after it was done baking (notated by the 3 beeps we heard), I jumped off of the couch and went in to see what awaited my tasted buds! Note to self: Even though it's hot, DON'T USE THE OVEN MITT BECAUSE YOU HAVE BIG HANDS YOU CHUBBY BASTARD! LOL This stemmed from the fact that Shy had to come over and take the pan out because my mitted hands couldn't get a proper grip on the pan to twist and pull it out. I thank God for this woman even for the small shtuff LOL So we finally pull the pan out and set it in the sink to make sure it doesn't burn the counter or anything and wait for about half an hour for the pan to cool.
After our waiting time, which felt like FOR-EV-ER! I went in and ran the hard rubber spatula around the edges to loosen it up until finally I removed the crafted loaf. But unfortunately to my dismay...the paddle was IN the loaf and when I removed it, it left a sizable hole in the bottom of the loaf. I removed it and sliced my first two pieces and put them in the toasted. Needless to say I was impressed by the taste! It could have been better but hey it was my first try!
In closing, I decided to look up on the internet on how to yank that paddle out before the baking cycle begins and you can! woo hoo! SO tomorrow I shall be using the second mix that I got and almost died when I got it and have only three words for it...
HAWAIIAN SWEET BREAD!
my sister (and I LOVE HER FOR IT) got me interested in this bread. Spread some spinach dip on that bread and good God it is HEAVEN IN YER MOUTH!
Good night and good fight true believers! EXCELSIOR!

This is my FIRST blog (yeah right)
Okay so...all who know me know that this isn't my first go round and probably won't be my last...let's start by saying that a LOT has transpired since I last blogged on my MySpace or Facebook pages (about a year and a half actually) and well with this I know I'll at least get some of these weirdo thoughts out of my head...such as but not including....I wonder what would happen if I touched my balls in a buffet restaurant then went to go get more food...you know the normal stuff. I will say this gets to be a bit therapeutic after a while and will remain the outlet of my most evil, weird or evil AND weird thoughts! heheh For now I shall let you figure out what I'm doing now but I will give you a hint...me...my fiancee...and a game of Strip Candy Land...Nuff Said
